As one of the pioneers in Mexico on Transfer Pricing, he assisted numerous maquiladoras in the successful negotiation of Advanced Pricing Agreements with the competent authorities of Mexico.
Mauricio is a studious of international tax developments in Mexico, and has authored various articles on taxation of foreign investment in Mexico. He is also a frequent guest speaker on the subject in international business forums and universities in the US, Mexico, South-America and Asia. His works have been published by Tax Notes International, the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation (Amsterdam), San Diego Law Review of the University of San Diego, Tax Management Transfer Pricing, John Wiley & Sons, etc.
He has been tax advisor of the National Maquiladora Association, Board Member of the Western Maquiladora Trade Association and member of the Committee of International Tax Affairs of the Baja California Society of Public Accountants.
Mauricio attended the Banking and Commercial School of Mexico City where he graduated with honors as a Certified Public Accountant. |
