Dear Reader:
Thank you for logging into our webpage. I hope you will find our site's information useful for your purposes. We hope you will find the Chamber a powerful resource. We offer invaluable support for commerce between two peerless friends and business partners: Mexico and the United States of America.
Per the U.S. Census Bureau, in 2010, our bi-national trade grew 28.3% from $305.5 Billion in 2009 to $392.0 Bn in 2010, which confirms the recovery process of our regional economy. On the other hand, despite the challenges, in 2010 Mexico received $17.7 Billion in Direct Foreign Investment.
The new world after the Great Recession, including our bi-national region, requires innovation, creativity and our willingness to review and revise our business practices. Many models will certainly prevail, but some will require new schemes that we formerly thought unnecessary. Access to non traditional markets, cross-border joint ventures and partnerships, to name a few. Some of these new formulas are unquestionably found in U.S.-Mexico investment and trade.
In response to this new environment, our Chapter is in the process of- reorganizing its operating model to seize -new opportunities for its members. These include new working Committees and differentiated strategies for in-bound and out-bound business opportunities. We are also working in developing partnerships with business groups of other countries interested in U.S.-Mexico business opportunities. Of course, we will maintain the many events and initiatives developed by our Chapter over decades of experience and so much appreciated by our members and event patrons.
A program for social responsibility is also included in our plans by assisting bi-national community groups to disseminate their projects,
If you are a member, thank you for your loyalty and collaboration. If you are not, we encourage you to join our Chamber to benefit from its business contacts and events.
With the Very Best
